                              PastorÕs September Message

To The Beloved People of God:

We continued our Lenten journey February 24th evening, when we came to the midweek Lenten Service -

hurried at the end of a day,

               hungry for words of comfort,

harassed as our hearts were filled with the burdens of the day.

Gathered in a circle around the cross, we were surrounded by Ð

silence,

               flickering candlelight,

smells of soup that lingered from the ÒSoup and Bread SupperÓ

Our minds heard those familiar words of Jesus Ð

ÒI am the Way, The Truth, and the LifeÓ,

ÒI will not leave you orphaned; I am coming to youÓ

ÒPeace I leave with you, my peace I give to youÓ

ÒDo not let your hearts be troubled; and do not let them be                                                             afraid.Ó

Our voices joined together in song -

ÒThose who seek God, shall never go wanting.Ó

ÒTake, oh, take me as I am;Ó

ÒGoodness is stronger than evil; Love is stronger than hate.Ó

Our hearts joined together in prayer we felt the Ð

Warmth of a touch on our shoulders, and

               peace that passes all understanding.

We left that place to Ð

Ògo in peace, the deep peace of Christ JesusÓ, and

follow Jesus to places we have never gone before.

Come join us as we gather around the cross in meditation.
